Frequently asked questions.
How do I get started?
Typically, we begin with a free 15-minute phone consultation. This initial meeting allows me to assess whether my skills align with your needs and allows you to assess if we would work well together.
Following this, we’ll schedule a 60 minute intake session to evaluate your needs in more detail.
How long are sessions?
As stated above, our first appointment will be an intake session which is typically 60 minutes.
After that, sessions are typically 55-60 minutes in length.
What’s the cost?
Individual therapy: $175
Individual intake: $200
Do you accept insurance?
I currently accept Aetna insurance. For all other plans, I would be considered an out-of-network (OON) provider. This means you pay for appointments upfront and, if your insurance plan includes OON benefits, your insurance will reimburse you a percentage of the cost.
If you prefer to make the process as seamless as possible, you may opt to use Mentaya, a trusted service that simplifies out-of-network reimbursement. Mentaya ensures my clients receive the reimbursements they’re entitled to while minimizing the stress of navigating insurance claims for a small fee.
How does out-of-network (OON) work?
Pay Upfront for Sessions: Clients pay for sessions at the time of service.
Receive a Superbill: I provide a Superbill after every appointment—a detailed receipt with all the necessary information for your insurance company.
Submit a Claim: You’ll use the Superbill to file a claim with your insurance and receive financial reimbursement of the session cost. You can typically file a claim online through your insurance company’s website/member log-in or by mail.
How will I know if I have OON benefits?
