Trauma-informed therapy as a path to healing & transformation.

Approach.

Now offering safety & guidance for the parts of you that keep getting in the way. With techniques grounded in the latest scientific research, you can begin to let go of the patterns & belief systems which are not serving you. These neural pathways are often old and hyper-vigilant, unaware what is possible outside of ‘surviving’.
Using a blend of mind and body-based therapy {EMDR & Somatic work}, psychodynamic therapy {IFS & Attachment theory}, and behavior therapy {ACT}, you can learn what it means to become Self-led—where your actions are led by your values, instead of past wounds. And I will support you in re-discovering those values and creating healthier relationships with yourself and others. Using EMDR, I guide my clients in healing from the painful core beliefs often underlying their symptoms, such as "I'm worthless" / "I'm powerless"/ "I'm not safe" /, or "I have to be perfect"/. Through this work, you can finally shift out of states of chronic dysregulation and enter states of safety and connection.

“No life is not worth living. But what is important is that YOU experience your life as worth living—one that is satisfying, and one that brings happiness.”— Marsha Lineham

About Me

I began my journey into the mental health field as an undergraduate at Florida State University (FSU), where I earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Criminology, and later earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida (UCF). This program allowed me to focus on trauma counseling, including approaches for victims of violence, crisis intervention, and family trauma support.

While pursuing my education, I passionately supported survivors of domestic violence seeking refuge with a local DV/SV shelter in Tallahassee, FL. Here I eventually became employed as a sexual violence advocate, providing SA survivors with advocacy services, crisis counseling, emotional support, and information about victims’ rights and forensic examinations. At the beginning my career, I worked as a crisis counselor at the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and later became the agency’s lead Maternal Mental Health Counselor. In this position, I provided essential emotional support and information for callers dealing with pregnancy and postpartum concerns.

As a Therapist-Intern, I provided personalized and high-quality care for adults (18 years and older) with complex mental health disorders at a residential facility in Florida, now known as LifeSkills Orlando. Conditions treated included anxiety disorders, OCD, BPD, process addictions, schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorder, psychosis, bipolar disorder, depressive disorders, thought disorders, and PTSD.

These professional experiences have deepened my passion for advocacy, social justice, and universal access of mental health treatment.
